Answer
Griffith will investigate and make a decision about an allegation of student misconduct (including sexual harm) according to the rules of procedural fairness.
If a party is dissatisfied with the final decision they can appeal as follows:
Student respondents (person alleged to have used harm) can request a review and/or appeal in accordance with the Student Review and Appeals procedure
Student complainants (person who made a formal report) can request a review by the Griffith Student Ombudsman.
Any student can lodge a complaint directly with the National Student Ombudsman (NSO) for consideration and investigation, or if they are not satisfied with a university process. The NSO can consider complaints on many issues, including concerns about student safety and wellbeing, gender-based violence, and the University's complaints (reporting) and appeal process.
